What a wonderful way to kick off the new season! Nearly eighty members gathered for our first meeting of the year, and it was great to get together again. It's clear that our club community is thriving, and we're excited about what's ahead.
Our new president, Dean Vinten, welcomed everyone and shared updates on the activities and accomplishments from the summer. Review the slides from the business meeting attached here.
One of the best parts of our meetings is hearing what fellow members have uncovered in their research. Several people shared their recent genealogy discoveries during our sharing time. Be sure to check out the Discoveries page in the Sharing section of our website to see what treasures they found! Connie Hauger was the lucky winner of our Genealogy Bingo Challenge.
Our guest speaker, Ed Storey, delivered his presentation titled "Push Back the Clock" on researching pre-1850 records. His insights and strategies gave us all new tools to explore our family histories further back in time.
Slides from Ed's presentation are attached for your reference.
